Here's what we've been up to!
Circus Starr
We are proud to support the wonderful Circus Starr, a unique charity that brings the magic of circus to life for children. Through our donation, families were able to enjoy a live performance at Kings School, Macclesfield, completely free of charge. Our support helped local families to attend without worrying about cost, ensuring that everyone can share in the joy and wonder of the circus together.
As a local charity, this means a great deal to us, and with Carl being father to his son with ADHD and autism, we understand personally how valuable these inclusive experiences are for families. It’s incredibly rewarding to support an organisation that makes such a difference in our community.

East Cheshire Hospice
East Cheshire Hospice is a charity close to the hearts of entire team at Manuka Money. Our lives have been affected directly and indirectly through family and friends who have sought the professionalism and care that East Cheshire Hospice provides.
Darren’s father-in-law was a huge supporter of East Cheshire Hospice, dedicating his time to volunteer for fundraising events. Sadly, he passed away, and we wanted to honour his memory. To do this, Darren rode 1 million meters on his bicycle, while Carl ran the Manchester Half Marathon. Together, with the support of Brian’s family and friends, we raised a total of £3,231.25.
About East Cheshire Hospice
East Cheshire Hospice has been a beacon of hope and support in our community since 1988. Located in Macclesfield, the hospice provides compassionate care for adults facing life-limiting illnesses.

Parkinson's UK
Another charity that holds a special place in our hearts is Parkinson’s UK. When Sammy’s mum received her Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2019, the charity became an invaluable lifeline for the whole family. Their comprehensive online resources and support networks have been a constant source of guidance and comfort throughout this journey.
Inspired by the charity’s incredible work, Sammy felt compelled to give back. She took on an amazing challenge – the Manchester Half Marathon – to help raise awareness of Parkinson’s UK and the vital support they provide to families like hers. Her determination to make a difference shows just how personal this cause is to us.
About Parkinson's UK
Every day, thousands of individuals and families across the UK face the challenges of Parkinson’s disease with remarkable courage. Through groundbreaking research, dedicated support services, and tireless advocacy, Parkinson’s UK stands alongside them every step of the way.

Space4Autism
Space4Autism resonates massively on a personal level to the business and our co-owner, Carl.
Carl’s eldest son Douglas was diagnosed with autism and ADHD and this charity is doing phenomenal things with the support they offer to families, adults, children and carers alike. In fact, they support over 6000 ‘spacers’.
We decided to take on the mission of raising money by challenging ourselves to walk, run or cycle 1km for every spacer that Space4Autiam supports. With over 6000 spacers, it was quite a feat!
We raised £1165 in total, and we were proud to support the fabulous work that #space4autism are doing for people.
About Space4Autism
Space4Autism was set up by passionate parents in 2005 to create a supportive community for families affected by autism. This dedicated volunteer-run charity understands that autism impacts the whole family, which is why they provide comprehensive support through engaging activities for people of all ages living with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition).
From social groups and skill-building workshops to parent support networks and educational resources, Space4Autism creates a welcoming environment where families can connect, learn, and thrive together. Their commitment to understanding each family’s unique journey makes them an invaluable resource in our community.

The CORE Pantry
Each week, Alison volunteers time at The CORE Pantry, which is Macclesfield’s local surplus food pantry, based in Upton Priory. The CORE Pantry provides access to quality fresh, frozen and store cupboard food for a small weekly membership fee.
All the volunteers come together to create a warm, welcoming environment for their customers. Not only can do their shopping, but they can also enjoy a hot drink and snacks while chatting to other members.
About The CORE Pantry
Set up during lockdown, The Core Pantry was created to address the lack of social interactions and the growing issue of long supermarket queues that made shopping difficult for members of the community.
The Pantry aimed to provide a safe space where local residents could access a supermarket-style environment without the long waits at national stores. Over the years, it has grown into a thriving space where customers can relax with a cuppa and browse food items at their leisure.

Local event sponsorships
We’re proud sponsors of the Macclesfield Beer Festival – a local event that’s as fun as it is impactful!
Each year, the festival chooses a different local charity to support, ranging from Cheshire Search and Rescue to Windyway Trust. Our sponsorship helps boost the festival’s charitable funds, but that’s just the beginning of our involvement.
The whole Manuka Money team looks forward to attending the festival. We make a day of it – enjoying the food, sampling local brews, and browsing the market stalls. The best part? Every penny we spend goes towards the chosen charity, multiplying the impact of our sponsorship.
It’s a fantastic way for us to give back to the community while having a great time with our team.
